CrossFit prides itself to be one of the safest sports. We therefore ask every new CrossFitter to participate in the so-called Fundamentals. These Fundamentals teach you the basic principles and terminology so you can be assured to have the most fun in a safe manner during every WoD (Workout of the Day). Moreover, the Fundamentals offer you a good peek into what CrossFit has to offer.
The 9 basic principles that are being taught in Fundamentals are; Air Squat, Front Squat, Overhead Squat, Shoulder Press, Push Press, Push Jerk, Deadlift, Sumo Deadlift High Pull and the Medicine Ball Clean.
If you don’t have any experience with CrossFit, we advise you to join four Fundamental classes so you’ll get to learn the basic techniques which in turn reduces injuries to a minimum.
The Fundamental training consist of a warm-up, an extensive techniques class and it is concluded with a CrossFit WoD.
