The WOD (Workout Of the Day) is a CrossFit workout which trains your whole body through a series of exercises. WODs are often time based which means that you’ll be doing the exercises within a certain time frame. But a WOD can also be a series of exercises of which you register your best time.
To give you an idea: time limited WODs are a series of repetitive exercises (ie. 5 pull ups, 10 push ups and 15 squats; as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes). An example of a WOD whereby you register your best time is a series of exercises (ie 4 rounds of 400 meter run, 20 burpees and 50 sit-ups). Upon finishing these 4 rounds you register your total time. Registering your time is important as it allows you to see your progress as you continue your CrossFit training and get stronger and fitter.
